In September of 2023, WEF awarded a grant in the amount of $17,000 to fund the participation of 12 teachers, 4 school administrators and 1 district-level administrator in Sacred Heart University’s Teacher Leader Fellowship Academy (TLFA). TLFA brings together teachers and administrators from school districts across the state to share and discuss best practices, policies, and programs to support teachers as leaders and innovators in their classrooms and beyond. TLFA is led by Dr. Betty Sternberg, former CT Education Commissioner, and Dr. Michael Alfano, Dean of the College of Education and Human Development at Sacred Heart University.
