The purpose of this grant was to support the creation of a new Robotics program at WIS. The objectives were to:
a. Provide exposure to the science and technology concepts involved in working with robots in the context of an engaging after-school program;
b. Generate both interest and advanced skills among intermediate school students in this STEM area; and
c. Provide an opportunity for students with an interest in robotics and other STEM areas to identify and socialize with peers and teacher mentors with similar interests.
Additionally, the creation of a robotics program at WIS was aimed at creating vertical alignment with the WMS Robotics Club.
