Oral History Grant Weston Historical Society
2015
Recipient: Community
$1500
Grant
The Weston Education Foundation provided funding to help launch of the Weston Historical Society’s “Weston Voices” oral history project in 2015. The purpose of the grant is to record and document the recollections of Weston residents who have played an important role in town affairs.
In each case a full video of the interview is made and edited (some also have abridged versions) and an annotated, bound transcript created. These have been archived in the Society and various versions are or will be at the Weston Library and Senior Activities Center, as well. Oral histories are also available on the website of the renamed Weston History & Culture Center, with links to the videos and the transcripts.
