WEF awarded the WHS Journalism program a $1,000 grant to purchase an online domain for the high school newspaper. The intent of the project was to enable students to explore journalism and 21st century media in new and relevant ways. https://westonwarhorse.com/
The grant also enabled a field trip to the Al Jazeera America newsroom in New York City, where Weston resident and Al Jazeera anchor John Seigenthaler hosted the students on a tour of the studio and invited them to watch a newscast.
