WEF awarded a $1,000 grant to introduce a community-based nonpartisan after-school program called “Ms. President US”, led by bipartisan community leaders. The program aimed to inspire and prepare girls to become future civic leaders through monthly meetings with elected officials and other civil servants, culminating in activities such as creating campaigns for office and visiting state officials in Hartford.
